Pros
In every other way, they look and function like traditional bulb type (a19 form factor) incandescent bulbs. They emit a nice soft light that shines through the color panels of a cut glass lamp.
For brightness, lumens is what matters. They dim without the annoying flicker some dimmable bulbs produce at lower levels. They work well with my old style dimmer.
Global value led lightbulbs are an excellent value at the current listed amazon price of less than $3.
These are a suitable substitute for 60w incandescent bulbs. Lumen to watt ratio is good for a bulb this size. Ideal in garage light fixtures or any light fixture that requires more than one bulb.
I am happy that these guys will save me a ton of money. I'm also thrilled to pieces that the price of led bulbs has dropped from $20ish each. And their cost. These are definite recommends.
Cons
This surprises me because all of the other reviewers raved about them, though all of us are vine reviewers. It's been a long time since vine reviewers felt they were expected to find some way to give an upbeat review.

No really it looks and works exactly like light bulbs have been since they were invented

Almost every other led bulb is made out of plastic and usually the bottom half or more is where the electronics are so only the top half actually lights up

That means they look odd in most lamps especially those with clear shades

And they’re not so good for reading because all of the light goes upward not down on your book
