It can throw out a lot of heat and i believe could be reasonably economical because it will switch off when it has reached the desired temperature and switch on again when it detects the temperature has dropped

I would imagine it would struggle heating a very large area like an open plan living and dining area but for an average sized cosy living room or bedroom it is ideal if you find like me that the central heating takes too long to heat a room

I dont have a gas fire installed in the living room because im scared of more disruption to the fabric of the house because by installing a fancy new combined boiler the gaps left in loose and broken floorboards that let in cold air have negated the benefits of a new economical boiler

This one is keeping the chill off my spare bedroom to stop condensation forming on the windows so it will only be on a low setting
