Finally the threads loosened enough that it would only hold together when tightened almost enough to turn on the led

This light activates by screwing down the cap on top with the led

The first time it lights up is low brightness and by unscrewing turning off and quickly back on you move to the 2nd level of brightness and ditto with the 3rd level and the blinking level not useful at all for me

First is that when the battery terminal corrodes a tiny bit the switching becomes very erratic

Solution is to regularly clean the top positive battery terminal

The second issue is that on occasion i notice the flashlight is hot in my pocket and find that it has turned on and alternatively the cap has unscrewed and fallen off in my pocket along with the battery loose in my pocket

I would go 5 stars but for the 2 issues i mentioned which are related to design not construction
