Karin * is one of the most brilliant thriller writers alive. I have yet to read a karin * book that isn't great. I love karin’s will trent series and have been missing a new installment.
The writing is absolutely pitch-perfect and extraordinary. The audiobook is over 15 hours of listening which i highly recommend listening to. Thanks blackstone publishing-audiobook via netgalley. Read it in 2 days.

Cons
The crux of the story line is - who killed the title character, emily vaugh? A meandering story with mostly unlikeable depraved characters. Not be bumped on the head by one inaccurate and insulting sentence.

This book has some extremely unlikable characters that are more than a little sleezy
