Pros

The story overall and the characters are fantastic. The colorful cast of characters and subplots add even more life to the story. The book ends well without a cliff hanger.

I love a marissa meyer retelling, so i was very excited to find out she was writing a rumpelstiltskin retelling. Meyer never ceases to amaze me!

A rumplestiltskin retelling. I love how it is a semi mash up between the lore of the wild hunt and rumpelstiltskin.

As usual, she's blown me away. She creates a unique world and story that blends these elements in a fresh and original way. She has the gift to spin wonderful tales that captivate her young charges.

Cons

Gilded is overrated and overly long. I know the miller's daughter is suppose to be a liar, but that's literally all she is here. I'm vaguely interested in the sequel just to know how it ends but more dreading it.
