    Did some serious research, and even contacted gibson montana reps to see what i was doing wrong.

    What i found out was my gibson j-45 and my gibson hummingbird came from the factory with the 80/20 bronze strings, not the phosphor bronze.

    A lot of times the screws you get with this sort of thing are terrible.

    The factory strings had colored balls, making me think they were made by d'addario, but the color scheme was not consistent with how that company does their strings.
