I simply had to remove a small metal band that was left on the stem of the dryer when the original control knob cracked

After watching a you tube video on how to turn up the water level screw directly behind the knob panel to fill the tub to the water level it was in the old dayswe no longer have to hold the load size knob to the reset position to fill the tub which is probably why it cracked in the first place
