Plastic shrink wrap is over the opening to prevent dirt from falling in. They always fit and come with the crush washer and o ring.
Mann-hummel 35505 works for the newer models. Better than running to the dealership. Easy to change and engine is quiet. Cheaper than the dealership or car parts store.

Ive been running it on my 2013 veloster turbo for years
It fits my 2018 ioniq just fine even though amazon part checker says it will not fit
I only use hyundai oil filters for my veloster turbo by far the best design 5000 mile intervals with synthetichave oil

Update 2021i ordered it twice and it came with a note saying the part i ordered has been superseded or interchangeable with the one i was sent
