Pros & Cons

Pros

Skip the other equivalent brands. This is the real mccoy, so it should work well. Do it yourself and save a ton of money. Always use the original equipment manufactures recommended fluids.

Mercon v is the most common type of ford automatic transmission fluid (atf) used in earlier year model fords, it is very much like dexron iii. I highly recommend using motorcraft brand atf in anything that requires mercon or mercon v.

Restores life to old, worn power-steering pumps, steering boxes, and rack&pinion steering gear. The 5 quart jug is perfect and exact quantity needed to replace the factory fluid.

Authentic motorcraft. Always use motorcraft to correctly match the chemical requirements.

Today's vehicles use a thinner atf.

Cons

Use xl12 which supposedly has been discontinued also then they tell you to use mercon v automatic transmission fluid which states clearly on the back of the jug do not use in transfer cases. Received an open container with no seal and used fluid.
