Pros

First replacement since installing motor originally in 2006. Luckily, it's inexpensive and relatively straightforward to replace. It is a 2 person job but it's not a hard part to replace if you can handle a ratchet or wrench.

This unit is a tad shorter than the factory unit. Wear gloves, you'll get covered in grease if everything is properly lubricated. Suggest wear gloves.

Spinning screw raising and lowering genie garage door. Opener is now quiet and operates like new. Garage door opener not lifting door screw drive chattering.

Ordered coupler, genie lube, and trolley assembly. Easy install. Installation requires separating the worm gear rail and the head unit but i installed this unit initially, so it wasn't particularly intimidating.
