Pros
This opener is very quiet and runs smoothly. Diy friendly. It is futuristic how quiet and smooth this opener is.
The instructions & component packaging are nicely done. The genie website also has helpful videos for all aspects of installing andamp; programing. The light bulbs are now away from the ceiling beam and better illuminate the garage.
Setting the travel limits was a piece of cake. The little remotes are awesome too! Hopefully it lasts as long as the stanley did.
Cons
Direct sunlight makes the unit inoperable. Customer service has a because there are black marks on the circuit board, this indicates that there may have been a power surge, and that violates the terms of the warranty.
The motor that was installed was the smallest one you can get (1/2 hp) the remote responds perhaps 5 seconds after you push the button. It is hard to program and after i am done programming the unit resets back to default settings that they make the u... Read More

Fairly easy to install and works great
This unit has a chain drive that runs quietly and seems to be a much more durable design
The outside code pad broke and they no longer make replacements
Result the chain gets all dirty which as a mechanical moving part you want to stay clean
Price
Low priced genie opener and works just fine on my single insulted door
I would recommend it to anyone you cant beat it for the price
If it last it is great value

It is imperative to remove all pieces in the proper sequence from their packing
