Quality
No issues at all and very quiet.
Easy to program, with the included instructions.
It took about 7 hours to replace the old chain-driven opener with the new genie 1000.
Price
And the price is much better than the big box and local hardware stores.
Packaging/appearance
But when pulling the packaging out i found all the parts falling out on the floor.
Got it out of the box and may have removed it prematurely.
Competitiveness
Working well and much quieter than previous.
It is not a normal setup as far as setting the limits and wiring, compared to certain other cheaper brands.
I have had no issues with it, since installing in nov 2018.
I would highly recommend it, installed/running it in about 2 1/2hrs.

The company video on setting the communication between the keypad and the opener would have been helpful if what they said to do related to the product i was working with.

I had called genie and they acted as if it would in essence be one of their people doing the install, but it was farmed out and then that company contracts someone to do the work.
