I do like this item now that i know how to use it but the box mine came in either never had directions or had them removed before i bought it either way it took a frustrating search online to find the allimportant diagram about how to use this

It is incredibly important when using it to make sure the crown stays up against the top of the gate at all times the first few times i let it bow in a bit when the saw blade hit it resulting in bad cuts

Another tip which i had to come to on my own is how to deal with very small cuts using this device

However that requires making a jig to cut the crown moulding and does it in the traditional manner upside down and with left and right reversed

When cutting 16 foot sticks the ends of the moulding sagged and twisted but only if they were not properly supported

An unsupported cutoff could twist so it takes a splinter off the bottom of the work piece but again thats on the user to properly set up the work area
