Pros
Came as described rehydrated fast, nearly at the touch of water. Smelled clean and the runoff from rinsing turned clear almost immediately. It expand a lot with water.
The cocotek holds moisture and grows plants from seeds. It has no nutrients, but you do have to add nutrients. It is very fine and hold moisture well. Does exactly what it says it holds moisture and grows plants from seeds.
Cons
They are less than one inch tall at a stage where heads of lettuce should be halfway to maturity. My suggestion for anyone that purchases this item is to use in with 30 days so you're able to get a refund if it is defective.
When i water the beds the top dirt soaks up the water and saturates becoming like a seal. Made my next mistake of not rinsing this out 100% thoroughly.

At first i was a little leary because it was not rehydrating as fast as i thought it would
Packaging/appearance
Spent half the time rehydrating and rinsing and the packaging was far more durable
Once it hydrated i filled a 5 gal bucket that had holes drilled in the bottom and ran the hose on spray in the bucket
Competitiveness
Other brands perhaps recommended by amazon sale algorithms didt compare to this one
