Pros
Bought several for my bottlehead crack amplifier. Bravo v2 headphone amp. Bravo ocean mini, byerdyanmic dt990 pro, fiio x5.
Excellent, pricey tube. Very fun, worth every cent. You won't be disappointed.
The gold lion has a very full range and is lovely to listen to. The soundstage/imaging/stereo separation is almost holographic. The snare drum is distinct and the vocals are clear.
The presence and clean sound of this little gem are worth it. If you want one of the best sounding 12au7s this one is it. Super quiet, amazing detail and solid bottom end. Very lush sound.
Cons
Russian tubes are built like tanks. Way too hot to use for any length of time in my bravo ocean. It isn't good, at least in this application.

Seems like excellent build quality but remains to be seen
It is much better than the stock tube sent with the amp
The cheap chinese preamp tubes that came with the yaqin were ok but i like to listen to blues and stuff that has a more live sound
Im not really sure if the quality is much better or if the music is just louder through it
Price
Only down side is price is 13rd of the amps cost

My setup is using a marantz hddac1 for the dac using its variable rca line out to the xduoo ta01 for the amp powering the audeze lcd2fs

The 990s are a fickle set of cans with any amp other than tube or macintosh

The stock bravos stock tubes threw them away and electro harmonix are too hf aggressive

H break in would help them but i went racing back to the sumptuous eminently musical tubey rush of these gold lions

Pricey tubes to be sure normally would knock off a star for price but in this case i feel i am getting what im pay for a definite cut above

I found that the xduoos stock tube in some songs had this kind of harsh compressed signature and wanted to see if the gold lion would fix this
