Pros

It illuminates at full capacity immediately, rather than warming up to max brightness. Unlike other bulbs where it looks good with or without a pendant. Can't beat their energy savings either.

The gem is the most elegant light bulb i've ever seen. I have always felt had the closest to incandescent soft white light amongst the cfls. The bulb is really nice just to look at. It is easy to switch from one bulb to another.
