Pros
This is our fifth gelpro mat, and we are as satisfied as we expected to be. Bought 2 with no regrets.
It's cushion-y soft and i'm in the kitchen a lot - chopping, dicing, watching baseball/basketball/tennis. I have plantar fasciitis that really gets me down when i am prepping for a big holiday meal or dinner party.
Have one for sink and one for cooktop. It is not sticky on the bottom, as another review had stated. Use by the kitchen sink.
The product was exactly as advertised & i have no qualms about recommending it.
Cons
The mats slide on hardwood floor. The edges start curling up and splitting, which makes them unsightly. Had to scrape both places where the weave is separating with putty knife.
New version are much thinner skinned and do not seem like they'll last very long. After already replacing them once, i hesitate to purchase a 3rd set.
I find it equally disheartening that other reviewers have had the same response from the vendor. Apparently the vendor reads the review and comes back with a sweetened offer. It's taken them far too long to deal with this issue.

I was considering one of the cheaper version but when i realized how long this one has lasted me i decided it was worth every penny
I bought the color that was on sale that day and it was significantly cheaper here than other retail sites that sell it
Don’t know why that happened when you spend a lot of money for this
