Pros & Cons

The AI used to provide these results are constantly improving. These results might change.

Pros

The gelid fan is absolutely silent and i have had no issues with my printer since installing it. Ended up being quieter than an 80mm noctua in my specific application, while still pushing nearly the same amount of air.

The reviewer below is wrong, this is indeed a 50mm fan as described. Bought this as a replacement for my low-mid rig for a 70mm cpu heatsink. When a slimmer profile is needed, this fan can't be beat.

Cons

Hydro dynamic bearing is just a fancy word for oiled bushing? Just a pushing. waaay too loud. Airflow is abismal.

Product is highway robbery at 15 usd. Seller's warranty is very ambiguous. Buy something else and save yourself the trouble.

Quality

Hydrostatic bearing fans have longest life span so bought this for the headunit heatsink

The fan is of a decent quality overall

There is a wiring issue with the fans

For the specs that are listed on the product it is a perfect product

Packaging/appearance

One of these fans turned out to be doa out of the box so im taking away a star for unreliability

I just wish id installed them in my tivos within the 30day return window since the defective one is a paperweight now

Competitiveness

This was used to replace the factory fan whos bearings had gone bad and loud inside the control box of a creality cr10s filament printer

Used it to replace the loud fan in a meanwell powersupply in an ender 3 v2

Bought this little fan and attached it with 3m strips rather than screws so it could blow onto the ssd

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

The noise of the ups is completely cut off and there is no increase in temperature

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

Had to replace the stock fan in an ssd enclosure so i was limited in the thickness i could work with

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

The stock fan which was on the verge of failure after 3 years is notorious for being a bit noisy and i was hoping the gelid would be notably quieter

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

It may be a bit quieter but the enclosure is still audible from under my desk

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

Still its a small fan and it has to turn reasonable rpms to do a decent job cooling in the end id rather have the ssds run at lower temps and not risk failure

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

It is a 3 pin fan and that may create problems for some people who are trying to use this as a cpu fan
