Pros
Hot plate keeps the coffee suitably warm, so i have no complaints about it. Great bean to cup machine, but caffeine overload is a problem. Keep a pot of decaf on standby, and alternate.
Uses less ele tri its than my old machine which went on the hob. Reusable and washable filter is a nice feature for the office too.
This coffee maker is exactly what i wanted. This fits the bill very nicely! Can't fault it. It's also pretty compact too, so i'd call that a win.
Cons
The reusable nylon filter on this machine allows a considerable amount of sediment to pass through into the coffee. A metal mesh filter works better but there is still some sediment. The machine is made of metalimparts.

Did this once and after about 20 minutes or so i could smell burnt plastic from the inside of the tank
No it doesnt have a timer but then you dont get the coffee ready at 0215hrs because youve had a power cut in the night

Packaging/appearance
Ive always favoured filter coffee over those capsules which cost a fortune and waste far more packaging than a bag of coffee
Competitiveness
This machine compared well with other filter machines and has the benefit of a long life filter but you can use filter papers if you wish
