I went for the heavyduty version of this hoist 50kg rated instead of 25kg even though the mtb bike im hanging off it is only about 1518kg

The brackets and pulleys are chunky and substantial in a positive way in that they feel like they are going to do the job without ever bending and are not remotely flimsy

The instructions do say to replace at least once a year which is a bit much but being a product of the usa this is presumably to cover the manufacturer against the standard lawsuits

If the ceiling joists run at right angles and the joists are not wide you will have difficulty attaching the elongated metal brackets to the joists

I had this situation and had to improvise by fitting a piece of wood between two joists to attach the bracket to see photo
