Pros
This cable uses the very well-designed ftdi serial converter chip. Has worked flawlessly for me. Has an advantage over the factory/oem cable in that it features tx/rx leds.
Cons
My cable is defective. No +5v output at the connector. By the time i got to use it it is out of the return period so it goes to the trash.

If youre considering this cable to use it with the lucas 14cux i can say that it works very well
This has the genuine ftdi chip and has no problem with the current ftdi drivers unlike some cheaper cloned parts

Note that the ft232 chip used in this does not have a charge pump necessary to generate 66v used by rs232

If you have any doubts about whether to get an ftdibased serial adapter or a prolific one since i see a lot of prolificbased products especially on the asian markets dont waste money with prolific the drivers are horrible and dont work well on latest version of the os
