After seven months of near daily use this brush is still solid clean and shows signs that it will last for much longer than any 40 dollar item usually does

It does come with a black plastic stand but it doesnt sit well in this either

I didnt count but shedding didnt seem to be an issue maybe a few hairs during the first week

Faint typical smell when wet and a hot soak seemed like it may have been oiled a bit but all that easily washed out and it now smells like the mild vdh shave soap with the badger smell almost completely disappeared after the first use

Make a hanger out of a piece of wire if nothing else but this one came with passable hanger
