The steps counter is a very big bug. This product is extremely misleading as the sale price makes the normal vivoactive 3 worth it. Very disturbing during training for marathon.
Product specs also logs the rankings of this product simply as vivoactive 3. The moment you remove the charger the watch goes off. Only issue is battery dies down in 3 days even without using gps.

So basically you will need to start at 100 charge if you plan on cycling for lets say 100 km or above
