Pros & Cons
Pros
I am a collector of knives, and this one is by far one of my favorites. If you’re looking for a $20 knife this is definitely it. Absolutely impressed with this knife especially for the price.
After oiling the pivot and exercising it for a day. It is now a great knife that easily flick open and flick close with one hand. It mimics the benchmade para 2 and after i slight pivot screw adjustment, the pivot action does too.
Overall a very good knife to use as a beater. Knife origninally is very sturdy and weight is good how it was. Not cons just compromises.
Thin design = excellent food slicer. Blade is center. No slop of the blade when deployed. Fine for cutting and slicing with that full flat ground blade.
This lockup is surprisingly good. Getting smoother already after a few days. No problems what so ever. No modification needed.
Cons
The lock is extremely difficult to manipulate, the lock thumb studs are sharp and painful to work, the thumb hole on the blade is sharp as well and doesn't feel good to open and lastly the middle screw on the pocket clip was stripped and falls out.
Highlights
Quality
The weight and action are right and the quality is better than i expected
Not nearly the same quality of the knife its trying to mimic but at 110th the price a really good deal
E quality for a fraction of the price
But initially quality and impressions i’m very satisfied
Price
Also considering the price you can’t go wrong
This knife is simple and well worth the price
The tip gets so narrow and the steel isnt a high end steel so it bends pretty easy
Packaging/appearance
Fits in cargo shorts the 440c blade is razor sharp and has no play
Competitiveness
Impressed enough to have already bought another ganzo firebird
It’s not a spyderco but it’s close for a fifth of the price
This is basically a clone of a spyderco para
Just got my ganzo g729 and now i’am wondering why i spent 150 for a spyderco para2
