Pros
The screw on action is fantastic, and we're happy about the reduction in insects. Snapping on the ring does take full force. Work your way around the rim in both directions.
This is great to turn a 5-gallon bucket into a compost carrier! This makes the large 5 gallon bucket i already had air tight and keeps the cats food fresh.
Cons
Didn't fit my 5-gallon bucket from lowes. Even tried heating the edges of my bucket. Not even close.

This top is so much easier than trying to open the lids by hand on the 5gallon buckets

Id advise using a rubber mallet to seat the flange properly on the bucket rim as it is made to fit very tightly and probably not come off again without destroying it

The lid screws on and off easily enough

You may want to make a spanner for this as it cane be difficult to vet back off if a vacuum forms due to temperature or altitude change

You will have to use a rubber hammer not a steel hammer to install the ring on top of the bucket

If you only have a steel hammer you could lay a piece of 2x4 wood across the ring and tap the steel hammer on the wood to seat the ring

Meanwhile it takes days for the young birds to drink 5 entire gallons we are able to fill once every few days for them to have clean water at all times instead of daily
