Pros & Cons
Pros
I use the foldable under my manduka so it doesn't slide at home. It folds up perfectly, and will fit in any suitcase. It is sleek and compact and can easily fit in carry on or larger pieces of luggage.
It's great on a rug or if your place has hard floor, i use a towel as knee cushion. It's a bit thinner than my ideal mat, but that is too be expected. Proper cleaning/care is a must to maintain any mat, and neglected mats degrade faster.
This is definitely impressive. Love the convenience of it. Otherwise, it definitely serves it’s purpose.
Cons
Gaiam yoga mat is very slippery and very thin. It is uncomfortable for the knees. This is not similar to other gaiam (non-travel) mats.
It also says it weighs 1. At that weight, the mat is 75% more than advertised.
Highlights
Quality
Nice travel mat good grip that looks like it will last with proper care
It is compact nonslippery and holds well after several months of usage
The yoga mats they provide at hotels are gross and never cleaned
This folds into what would be akin to several magazines stacked on each other
Price
And its way cheaper than other travel mats
Definitely designed well for its purpose and a fair price
Packaging/appearance
It fits really nicely in my suitcase between packing cubes
I put this in my backpack in the laptop area it served as extra cushion for my pack as well
It’s disappointing because now i need to keep looking for a light and packable travel mat
Perfect for packing it for travel but it is heavier than i expected it
Competitiveness
It is a lot thinner and truly portable compared to other super thin travel mats on the market lulu manduka
