Pros
The pedigree for the g96 lubricant is far above any line of basic performance. Good amount of lubrication for the price. Only complaint is that compared to the other well performing lube, g96 was the most expensive by far.
The price is higher than hoppes but cheaper than the mill-comm products. This is all he's used for 20 years and i agree it is superior.
Cons
I would know fake g96 even if the bottle would have been resealed, it has the unmistakable smell.

The older stuff i used when i was in worked well as a cleaner and preservative but sucked as a lube burning off quickly therefore requiring me to use much more

This is and greet product again i am a gunsmith and if you are not used of taken down a gun and rebuild it i will seek out a gunsmith please use extra care with handling a firearms

Personally of late ive been going with shooters choice fp10 at 8 for 4 ounces sometimes a bit less if you can catch it on sale
