Speed is decent, not great, and overall it's a solid performer. The drive is amazingly fast. It also looks great. This does exactly as advertised.

Tb is a mind blower. Easy to reconfigure to raid 1 from the shipped raid 0. Set up in a redundant raid configuration isn't as easy as one would wish but is manageable. It reduces storage to 12tb but keeping that peace of mind that there is a backup co... Read More

The drives are a bit noisy, but not intolerable. You'll love this drive just as long as you can stand a little noise and aren't a light sleeper.

Video and photography use this drive for a large editing project recently. No latency or issues editing hd videos. I usually edit on a samsung t5 ssd and backup to this drive but it also works plenty fast enough to use as a primary editing drive for 4... Read More

Cons

It is not intuitive. It crashes every time i attempt to format the drive to raid. This unit requires software to configure, and there are zero, and i do mean zero, instructions on the set up of this drive. Wd/hgst has offered a refund.

My results where about 260 mbs read and 245 mbs write no matter what cable or connection i used

And to get 12 tb for this price is a mind blower

Way too expensive in my opinion for what youre getting

For 700 i want to ensure my drive is optimally configured and they do not seem to understand that
