With that said sand and rocks can scratch your glass so becareful to not get any in between the scraper and glass

Im unsure how well the scraper will work on acrylic tank as acrylic is considerably softer than glass and will scratch easier

I suspect that the metal will not rust but much like other aquarium tools rinse and keep dry to take of it
