When the readout is attached to the scale ie when its attached to the front of the scale if you put something on the scale thats bigger than the resting tray like a cardboard box for shipping you cant read the readout

No battery terminals opened it up to install batteries and was totally surprised no battery terminals how is this supposed to work with batteries okay for home use when it can be plugged in but what if its needed for a remote location like a farmers market or something similar

Update after further inspection i noticed that the batteries are to be installed into the main body of the scale and not in the cord attached display assembly
