The vest simply wont work if its too big and judging by my experience your child may never grow into a size large

We bought a small since our guy is in 4t and we have to have the vest on the tighest setting possible but it still works and he has plenty of room to grow in it which is awesome since they grow like weeds at this age and none of these vests are cheap

My only real issue is that im not sure how well it will stand up to multiple washings in that it frays somewhat around the edges
