These fit into your existing fluorescent tube fixtures be they t8 or t12 same fitting

There is one slight drawback however that the light output is less than the fluorescent tubes being replaced

Told them i wanted the 5 bulbs with the true color and clear covers at 3500k soft white

Update 11212015 after more time and testingat first testing the tubes seemed to have full dimming capabilities without flicker but after using them under various circumstances mostly dimmed at the dinner table for a period of time as well as with an alternate leviton dimmer suggested by another reviewer the tubes begin acting nervous vague but perceptible flicker at a point which by perception id guess to be about 3040 full brightness being 100

Most folks wouldnt anticipate wanting more than 6070 dimming but dont expect 020

Each tube was in its own plastic bag sleeve and had pin protectors but there was no cardboard box or cardboard tube to protect the product after the opening of the shipping box
