The fisheye effect is, i presume, due to the nature of how cardboard-style viewers work. Cable has to pass through a hole where headset is encased within visor of headset. The controller itself appears cheaply made and poorly constructed.

Ive tried several vr headsets in the same price range and theyre all almost identical making me wonder if theyre all manufactured by the same maker and simply branded for different sellers theyre that similar

The compartment that holds the phone secures the phone nicely and will fit a pretty big range of phone sizes thanks to the inclusion of a foam gasket that adapts the unit for smaller phones

Another nice feature is that the unit has enough space for your phone that you probably wont need to remove it from its case unless you have a really big phone andor really big case

The lenses on this unit are way better than the cardboard units which suffer from more distortion around the edges and all around subpar clarity

The lenses here are clear with no distortion issues and they adjust very easily forwardbackward for focusing and widernarrower to accommodate the users natural facial size and structure not everyones eyes are the same distance apart something the cardboard cant adjust for
