For me they are true to size. The advise re ordering a size larger may be related to either the width of your foot or the difference between uk and us sizing.
Have always wanted a pair of frye boots. Never wanted to pay the price but decided to take the plunge. Like, they make doc marten 1460s feel luxurious. Ordered a second pair from another seller on amazon.
I got doused all down my calf, ankle, and foot. They've softened up and stretched a bit with use, so they're not uncomfortable anymore. Only thing negative is that i have to wear a high boot sock or the sock ends up falling down under my heel.
These boots are awesome. Love the boot. The boots are fantastic! Love the boots. Good quality.
The workmanship throughout is artisan-like. The shaft is made of soft, supple leather. The rest of the boot(s) is thick, well-formed yet pliable leather.

I used the frye weatherproofing paste and i think it has really helped to condition the leather and break them in faster

They are noticeably better than the other brands that make a similar boot
They are narrower than other brands i have purchased of the same size but they still fit great

Looking at other reviews they seemed a bit off but after purchasing the first option brown guach i think they look exactly like the picture and they fit great the top part that goes around your shins are a little look you have to wear straight pants at the very least but nothing you can do about that with slip on boots

I bought a size that is 12 size smaller than i normally wear but for whatever reason this size was almost 12 the price of the next 12 size up
