Nicely balanced quality feel razor sharp and seems to be holding an edge very well
Excellent quality really sharp and easy too maintain the edge
I do not mind the price as long as the product quality that i paid for is great
I believe the issue has to do with the length

The edge is already pretty fine i took it to a spyderco ultra fine just for a few swipes its shaving sharp
Other than the 10inch knife this may have been the last knife i ever purchase for the kitchen
This knife is considerably heavier than other 8inch chefs knives ive used in the past and thats a good thing for me
A henkels as well as a vg10 japanese santoku and the finishing of fdick was wellabove the 2 other knives i own

The extra curvature of the tip is nice but doesnt seem to be of much use to me to raise it all the way up requires a pretty steep angle to grip the handle at which is not comfortable

Its not quite as sharp or as hard as my japanese shun but thats a good thing because the shun is too brittle
