Pros & Cons
Pros
High quality product for the buck. Excellent quality product with very quick shipping. No more generic bits ever again for me. I'm a diy guy, but this bit has worked extremely well for my needs.
It slices wood curls just like a hand plane. Some bits can get loaded up with material while cutting in softer woods.
Great product. Worked amazingly well - every time. Bit worked great.
Cons
In general it is not much different from the slightly less expensive competitor's product. Cons - wears out quickly (after ~ 10 holes) can't handle mails/staple. Edge gets dull immediately after touching a 20 ga.
Highlights
Quality
All of my freud purchases have been very high quality and long lasting
Easy to use and makes perfect spots to set in dowels
The serrated edge was able to cut quickly and produce sharp crisp holes on the face of plywood
This was so sharp it was like a hot knife thru warm butter and that was drilling into sycamore
Price
Don’t buy cheap imports or you will buy twice
You’ve seen them here on amazon seven bits for 12
This not a cheap bit it is an essential tool and worth the price
An entire set might too expensive so just buy these one by one as you need them
Competitiveness
I have been using other brands of forstner bits with mediocre results
You can buy cheaper bits but you probably wont like it
