This is the kind of hand crafted tool that is hard to find these days. Not a deal breaker, and my fault for not paying more attention. Made in the u. S. Which i hope is trend that is curving upwards.
Refretting my 74' tele neck. Fretguru also sells a crowning tool and that will be my next purchase. Using this for leveling a fretboard/frets and also re-leveling frets on a previous guitar.

It's the first one i've ever used and i recommend it for all first timers as well. The beam is comfortable to use and i can feel the work pretty good. Highly recommended, very reasonably priced.
No joke, this is a really good item that is well worth the money. Fretguru in general has great stuff ill take one of everything.

Packaging/appearance
If the plastic endcaps were larger than the metal surface which they arent then just pull the endcaps off problem solved
Competitiveness
Watch tutorials before you go leveling your frets you cant out it back on once youve sanded it off
Its a quality piece made in the usa and comes in about 1520 cheaper than its stewmac counterpart
