Using the coarser grit also makes the job faster by removing more material per *. This sanding beam is nice. Crowning files are excellent, etc.

Measured up nicely against my starret straight edge and a great surfacing job too. We have tools that can measure the thickness of a fingerprint. It's also perfect for verifying your work because it's long, straight and very well built.

If the plastic endcaps were larger than the metal surface which they arent then just pull the endcaps off problem solved

One bonus is that i used the fretguru beam to make a cheap neckstraightedge better as shown in the photo

We have tools that can measure the thickness of a fingerprint or can tell if there are a few skin cells on the surface

After cleaning the beam was fixtured on a granite surface plate and checked for flatness it actually measured
