I ordered this and the crowning file from fret guru and am very pleased with the quality of tools.

Quality product which is the company’s mission statement.

Very high quality, meets or exceeds what you can get from some luthier supplies for half the price!

Price

For the price i would have expected stainless steel.

The price is right, as it's 2/3 the price of the one sold by the more common named supplier.

Packaging/appearance

If the plastic end-caps were larger than the metal surface - which they aren't - then just pull the endcaps off, problem solved.

Competitiveness

Greatly made with a lot of attention to details and love to customers.

Watch tutorials before you go leveling your frets, you can't out it back on once you've sanded it off!

I'm happy that i purchased the fretguru sanding beam.

Life’s too short for shoddy tools - whether you’re using them to earn a living or as a hobbyist.

It's face milled on all 4 sides, and the two side where you'd stick adhesives are abrasive finished, some kind of rotary abrasive setup because the lines are not straight.

It's literally just a face milled piece of aluminum tubing.

I just used this to level the frets of a 10 year old guitar that's been in desperate need of fretwork, with very noticeable wear on the upper frets causing intonation issues.
