Then i took the 34 0z and poured into new 50 oz press, it didn't fill it to the brim.

So yes it is 50oz, my issue with it is that you cannot use it to its full capacity because how the lid/top is designed.

I only make one tumbler full of coffee at a time, so i can't speak as to its heat-holding qualities.

The default filter is crap but works in a pinch if you have to.

Other than that it seems to be a perfect product, which leaves me suspicious of something going wrong.
