Pros & Cons

Pros

French grey sea salt, also known as sel gris, has a beautiful, coarse texture that provides a satisfying crunch and bursts of salty goodness in every bite. What truly sets french grey salt apart is its rich mineral content.

Cons

This salt has a very odd, damp-sand-like texture while being completely dry. People in my house have a problem with over seasoning. It is very dry,and the worst thing is the chemical like smell that hurts my nose. Dried in oven.

This salt tastes fine, but really only seems to work well if you're scooping or sprinkling it by hand. In contrast, this san francisco version has salty taste only.

The crystals are too small to use in a salt grinder. On fine grind settings it clumps at the grinder and does not come out. Even resealing the bag requires wiping the inside of the bag with a paper towel to clear salt out of the groove.

Quality

I found that the regular price on amazon is a fair value for the quality and flavor this salt adds to my dishes

Exceptional product and what is even better is the very fair price of the product

Although this is a great product i spoke with the company and they said that it is not celtic sea salt

Thank you for letting me know that you purchased the product at the regular price on amazon

Packaging/appearance

It has a great flavor and the packaging is really nice

Product arrived as expected no issues with packaging at all

The product was fine except the packaging had a hole above the zip lock seal due to shipping

That was certainly the sea salt on the caramel icing on the cake

Competitiveness

Recommend a ziplock zipper bag i use a gallon for storage

Its a small investment that yields big flavor dividends
