    The label says maison peltier is a full dark flavored chestnut tree honey

    The jars were made of glass and as another reviewer pointed out there is no safety seal under the lid nor around the edge of the lid the lid however was so tight that i doubt very much anyone had opened it before

    I am not sure that i like it my favorite so far is the one from mira nova which i bought from amazon and when i looked for other suppliers i found that amazon had the best price

    The chestnut tree belongs to the same family as beeches and oaks so chestnut honey is known for its strong aromatic taste and a bitter finish after taste
