Bought it in red for myself and yellow for my girlfriend. This thing is fantastic! Would highly recommend. Facile à répandre.
This butter bell is the perfect size for me. The butter stays fresh and spreadable. Historically, there was water placed in the bottom portion to keep the butter cool.

Of course the butter will not be as soft as if kept on the counter but counter kept butter goes bad quickly and is unsanitary

Btw only clarified butter can be kept at room temperature safely for an extended period of time

I have yet to see a butter bell that holds much more than a ¼ stick

So this may not be the best way for say a family of 5 or 6 who eat a lot of butter to store it
