Pros

No grounds get into the coffee pot and it stays very hot! It gives you full bodied fresh coffee every time especially if you grind your own beans. I like this coffee maker very much, though don't think, as i did, that it will work as a thermal carafe.... Read More

There is nothing cheap-feeling or flimsy about this french press. It feels proportionately heavy, sturdy, and well-made. My one quibble is that despit the french brand name, it's made in china.

Double walled design does a better job of insulating the coffee than glass. But it's not as good as a thermos. It keeps the coffee warmer longer than the glass one.

This is my 3rd double wall ss french press. The size is perfect for 4 mug size cups of coffee.

Cons

The plunger/ filter seem to be made well, but the inside machining is course which causes the plunger screen to scrape against the inside wall. I believe this metal to metal scraping action, sands off particles of stainless and gave it an electric met... Read More

I got this on a lightning deal so i cant complain too much

Works great and a good price for something that seems as though it will last a lifetime

Note i was not asked to review this item nor did i receive it free or at a discount as some other reviewers did

Overall for the price the looks and the function i would recommend this product

Packaging/appearance

It came in an attractive box that had clear instructions printed on the outside

There were some small black flecks on my pot when i unboxed it but washing it with soap and water removed the black flecks

Performs as well as much more expensive brands

I have bought many kinds of presses and this francois et mimi is one of the more solid built presses

The double walled design does a better job of insulating the coffee than glass but its not as good as a thermos
