Pros & Cons

Pros

The node 304 holds six 2. Tb hard drives, and one 2. Tb hard drive. There's room for 6 hdd, whether they're 3. Hdd or 3. This case holds a 500w psu and 7 hard drives (the 6th is an ssd requiring 3m tape to strap to the front of the case while the othe...  Read More

The amd wraith prism is a very roomy case. Without the cpu cooler (although there is plenty of height if you need one) the case seems quite roomy despite its small dimensions. Pay special attention to wires around your cpu cooler and the rear case fan...  Read More

Front bezel is solid which snaps off and you can clean the fan filters. Fans are very quiet but i wish they were all pwm controlled instead of steady on. With the included fans it's dang quiet.

The node 304 allows up to 160mm. Having a non-modular psu is also another thing since you have to cram everything into the side.

The case performs flawlessly for its small size. I'm sure you could get the cables managed if you coordinated the lengths and different angle. A few zip ties is all it took to free up the cables from the fans.

Cons

Even 160mm is the bare minimum for the card to fit. No way to install an optical drive. Power light is dim, hdd drive light only comes on when reading/writing.

Quality

First thing i like about this case is the quality it has

Very happy with the build quality as well

But like others have noted the screws are of terrible quality

However fractal design really needs to state how long your graphics card can be before interfering with the 3rd drive cage

Price

Cable management is a little tough but thats the price you pay for size

Competitiveness

I like this because it means one can use a fullsized atx psu which tend to be quieter than the small formfactor psus

It even has enough room for a liquid cooling system with a 140mm fan

Ive shorted out topmounted usbs with junk falling off workbench in the past

It is a little bigger than a shoebox and seems a lot smaller than my bitfenix prodigy case that i use for my desktop

The tradeoffs for so much flexibility in hd storage is you probably wont have alot of room to install a aio water cooler or a hefty graphics card

Need patience and careful planning cuz it offers zero cable management

Only bigger than i thought it should

They only mention how long your graphics card can be before interfering with long power supplies

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

I actually liked the older fractal 500 better than this node 304 because it had a better flowthrough fan system

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

This node 304 also has fronttoback airflow which is great but the frontfans are too small so at best if i hook them up at all i would run them at a very low rpm just for positive air pressure management

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

This case still seems to be designed for 3
