Pros
The r2 xl is a great value for what you get, and blends into the background both acoustically and in it's looks. It is a monster and is probably even bigger than you think it will be. Also it is pretty heavy once you get it fully loaded.

Tons of room - 8 hdd bays, 4 5. Bays. Removable trays that are each removable for easy installation. Rubber spacer for drives to sit on. No removable mb tray but the case provides enough space to work in that this didn't bother me.
The sound proofing works fairly well. The walls are lined with fabric for sound dampening. One small the headphone jack is actually the mic jack, and mic is headphone jack out of the box.

Problem is wrong mainboard standoff parts. Headhone/microphone front panel port connector is defective.

Long as these guys continue to keep the quality up like this and provide alternative to glass this will be my go to case company
It runs extremely cool with the extra space
Sucks because i have this case and 2 eatx cases with the soundproofing
I chalk that up to poor build quality i guess

Competitiveness
Works really well with a supermicro x8dth6f
I have a corsair h100i installed 3140mm fans and a nvidia gtx 770
The top one can be removed to give access to the front fans for mounting a watercooling heat exchange
I replaced the fans that came in the case with nicer noctua fans and use a noctua cpu cooler which fits easily in this case

My cpu cooler is probably completely clogged but inside the case the temp is just a few degrees over what my cpu should have optimally while idling

With my previous case which i had for 4 years before this one once my cooler was filled with dust temperatures went up like crazy making it impossible to go on without cleaning
