Pros

They are sturdy and work well with the debby meyer hand sealer which is what i use. Most of them work well and it appears the manufacturer made adjustments so the valves are consistently l located in the center.

Food saver bags are more dependable, durable, and outperform any other brand. My accompanying pic shows a seal bag of pecans and a bag of dehydrated, foraged morel mushrooms; both of which i vacuum sealed 4 months ago.

Cons

One great, one awful. Idea of opening every pack immediately to check (to stay inside the return window if there are problems) is extremely frustrating. Ordered a replacement and the exact same thing.

After i remove the air i use a piece of packing to cover the vent because that appears to be the weakest link

Competitiveness

Since reynolds quit making vacuum freezer bags several years ago ive been using other brands without much success

Foodsaver or ziplock is my only comparison to this type of vacuum bag

While theyre a little more expensive than other brands these bags are also heavier than other vacuum freezer bags making them reusable
