Pros
The fox 40 is remarkably loud and extremely distinct. The noise level is sufficient, the price is unbeatable, and the fox 40 is very durable. Use your tongue to block the whistle opening when blowing.
Cons
Product not as advertised! Not as pictured. I'm a lifeguard for a very busy pool and this whistle doesn't work for me. The whistle pops out of the strap.
High pitched, shrill whistle. Sound good but reverberates in user's ear. Barely makes a sound. This is not a 3 chamber pea-less whistle it is a pea whistle.

Either way i really like the convenience of this and the quality seems really good so ill continue using this for a long time
Rubber tip keeps lips from sticking to the whistle and hands stay warm with the strap over gloves
Mine did not arrive with the neck strap but the whistle is great
Like everything about the product except 2 things and they are just nits

The noise level is sufficient the price is unbeatable and the fox 40 is very durable

The whistle will snag things like jerseys and boards and pull out of the strap pretty easily

You have to stick your tongue in the open area of the whistle and quickly remove it as you blow which will create a loud whistle

It’s all about the technique there is no ball in the whistle and that’s because it isn’t necessary

I suggest either a short but powerful blast or the method i use pretend you are eating sunflower seeds and you want to spit one out

Use your tongue to block the whistle opening when blowing quickly removing your tongue allow in the air to go through the whistle forcefully then quickly put your tongue back in place to stop the airflow for that sharp distinct fox 40 sound

The elastic band does not hold the whistle if you are planning on participating on ice drills and come into contact
