Pros

Highly recommend for any outdoor sport or even for lifeguards. Comes with an adjustable lanyard so you can adjust it to fit tightly around your neck. Rubber mouthpiece makes it very good to hold in my mouth while running.

This whistle is easier to blow, louder, and smoother than the fox40 classic. It has this screeching noise that makes your brain buzz! I need to have my cats restrained or caged for us all to be together.

Great product delivers more than promised. Will re-order more for sisters, nieces and the guys. I wish more people carried these as opposed to the cheaper options you see on most boats.

Cons

It's shrill and goes 0 - 100 - there's no in between. My old metal whistle with the pea is a lot louder. Doesn't blow as smoothly or as easily as you need to find the 'technique' for it to work.

I have not been able to try it outside with the dog as i have had to much snow since getting it but it should work just fine

To start with the lanyard is a great quality lanyard thick and feels good quality not just a normal cheap lanyard

I didnt realize that all whistles were not created equal

Mine did not arrive with the neck strap but the whistle is great

Competitiveness

I am sure this is not the best whistle on the market but a superior whistle would cost far more
