At first had trouble until i realized that there is a rubber piece that needs to be removed so the battery makes contact

Better than the frankford arsenal piece of junk i bought initially that went back to amazon i would change two things it should have an on off button it does have an on button but you have to rely on the autooff feature to turn it off and at least mention that the rubber piece in the battery compartment needs to be removed prior to installing the battery you can still install the battery with it in there just doesnt work

We typically use mitutoyo calipers around the lab at work but for a set that will likely not be used that frequently and where precision didnt really matter to me i didnt want to spend the money for a highend mitutoyo

You probably get 34 the workmanship of a starrett or mitsu for 14 the price

Do not have a offbutton when the caliper is turn on the only way to turn it off is by waiting to turn off by itself with a preset time out

This is a pretty good quality caliper for the price your paying i wouldnt criticize the product because fowler does show in the package that it will be
