I can't say i was a fan of the book, but patterson is a talented writer.
Nana, font of all veltschmerz, is insufferable, despite her occasional mild zinger.
At numerous time the characters repeat dialog and information. But from that point on, well, it just gets *.
Plot is conceivably interesting, but botched by the completely inept investigation. When a plot development is written in order to create a bigger 'twist' at the sacrifice of naturalness and realness, this is badddddddd.
